# Turns Overview

The Turns API provides endpoints for managing unit turnover processes when tenants move out and new tenants move in.

## Key Concepts

### Turn Process

Turns represent the complete process of preparing a unit for a new tenant:

* **Move-Out Inspection**: Document unit condition at move-out
* **Cleaning and Repairs**: Track work needed to prepare the unit
* **Move-In Preparation**: Ensure unit is ready for new occupancy
* **Timeline Management**: Monitor turn completion timeline

### Turn Lifecycle

* **Initiation**: Turn process starts when a tenant moves out
* **Work Coordination**: Schedule and track cleaning, maintenance, and repairs
* **Quality Assurance**: Final inspection before new move-in
* **Completion**: Unit is ready for new tenant occupancy
